Moni K. Huber (Salzburg 1968) studied at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and at the San Fernando Art Academy in Madrid. In her works, the artist deals with architecture, submerged utopias and the landscape designed by man and reclaimed by nature. The painting process is a play between painting, photography and collage, the images tell stories about human creative power, transience and time. The fascinating architecture of the Chancellor's Bungalow in Bonn, ruins of post-war modernist hotel buildings in former Yugoslavia, or the status symbols of a "Leisure Class" are at the center of Huber's paintings. In 2007 Moni K. Huber was awarded the STRABAG Artaward.
