Mária Čorejová (Bratislava/SK 1975) is a graduate of Daniel Fischer's painting class at the Academy of Art and Design in Bratislava. In 2010 she received a recognition award of the STRABAG Artaward International. Čorejová uses her remarkable ink drawings as a medium of expression of her feelings and sensations. The works, which are reduced to the contrast of black and white and play with the alternation of empty spaces and objects seemingly floating in space, are references to Dada and Surrealism and question the meaning of symbols and objects in a socially critical or ironic context.
