Larissa Tomassetti (Villach 1972), who currently works in the artists' town of Gmünd and at the "Haus der künstlerischen Begegnung" in Villach, studied painting and graphic arts at the HS Mozarteum in Salzburg and subsequently received a scholarship at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 2010 she realized an art-in-building winning project in the municipality of Malta. Her versatile oeuvre moves between drawing, painting, photography, performance and installation. The concept of inversion always forms the central point of reference, whether formally-technically by means of inversion processes or reflections, or thematically through the juxtaposition of ambivalent contents, such as movement and standstill.
