Linda Berger (Aalen 1980) studied at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. The artist creates large-format ink pen drawings composed of countless fine lines and strokes. Her filigree meshes are reminiscent of landscapes, of condensations or structures of a dissolution that invite the viewers immersion. In the process, the respective carrier material is gradually made to disappear by the application of the pen strokes. A kind of space emerges that rustles and flickers and that can be associated with both a macrocosm and a microcosm. The long, intensive process of creating the works can last several months. The meditative-like method of working generates multiple possibilities of perspective and contemplation. For the artist, it is a condensation of artistic life and work time that offers multiple thought-provoking impulses in terms of creativity, concept, reality, and possibilities for interpretation.
