Florina Leinß (Freudenstadt 1984) studied at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and at the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland. The starting point for her paintings and installation works are a wide variety of inconspicuous objects that define her vocabulary of forms, such as everyday objects, machine parts, connecting sheets, perforated grids, or various packaging elements. Leinß finds these objects exciting because they shape our everyday lives in that we use them all the time, but we don't usually attach much meaning to them. She approaches these forms not abstractly, but constructively or generatively, creating compositions from many individual elements or series, but without reproducing a concrete initial object. What can be seen on the picture surface are merely the most varied, modified forms. Florina Leinß is a recognition award winner of the STRABAG Artaward International 2020.
