Karin Sickl (1970) is a member of the Art Workshop de La Tour in Treffen near Villach. It is one of the oldest studios in Austria where visually talented and creative people with special needs can develop and establish themselves as artists. Sickl prefers to create narrative, often fairytale-like images. For some years now, she has been exploring the theme of flora with increasing intensity. Her work combines a strong will to form with pronounced, often decorative, imaginatively placed color accents.
