Peter Jellitsch (Villach 1982) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. His main focus is on the interface between art and science. Which phenomena and processes can be translated into the artistic? How can the invisible be made visible? In his Data-Drawings, he transfers measurement data on Internet speed onto paper using pencil, ink and acrylic. For the work Swarm, Jellitsch drew on a series of older drawings based on experiments with air movement algorithm software and his fascination with all kinds of swarm behavior. Developing and extending existing ideas or digital phenomena at the intersection of digital and analog is an essential part of Jellitsch's working method. However, he does not create an image of the virtual or digital, but finds an individual way to translate them into his art. Peter Jellitsch received a recognition award of the STRABAG Artaward International 2014.
