Regina Hadraba (Waidhofen an der Thaya 1964) is the winner of the Römerquelle Graphic Competition (1995), the Innsbruck Graphic Competition (1996) and the Bauholding Kunstförderpreis, the predecessor of the STRABAG Artaward (1998). Hadraba consistently works on the surface, albeit with rather unconventional means, formats and pictorial grounds. Hadraba's oeuvre includes monotypes on thick, handmade paper and powerful drawings with black oil pastels and graphite, which can be found on white-primed wooden steles or cover the pages of artfully designed artist's books.
