Eduard Tauss (Vorau 1968) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and for many years has been creating a stand-alone work that oscillates between painting and sculpture, in which color becomes form and finally frees itself from the image carrier. For this purpose, the artist uses the material polyurethane, a synthetic resin, which he colors with color paste or pigments, pours onto plastic sheets in a viscous state and, after drying, forms into his characteristic objects by bending, stretching, folding and shaping. Eduard Tauss lives and works in Vienna.
