Hubert Schatz (Ostermiething 1960) lives as a writer and freelance self-taught painter and graphic artist in Upper Austria. In 1996 Schatz was awarded a recognition by the Bauholding Kunstförderpreis, the predecessor of the STRABAG Artaward. His works with dense strokes, structures and superimpositions are characterized by a high degree of authenticity. In them, Schatz embarks on a search for traces, leaving his emotions and thoughts the opportunity for spontaneous expression.
