In the exhibition "Unrest", Masha Sha, who was born in the extreme northeast of Russia in 1982, presents new drawings that were created during her stay at the STRABAG Artstudio. Coming from video art, the artist only left a few years ago - when she moved to the USA - turned towards the drawing as an artistic medium. The moving image suddenly seemed too controlled, constructed and technology-dependent, the drawing, however, represents unlimited freedom for the artist. Masha Sha's works are spontaneous and expressive, characterized by the clash of figurative and abstract elements she tries to capture the movement of inner states of mind by means of rough lines.
Duration of the exhibition: October 3rd - October 31st, 2014
