Donau-City-Strasse 9, 1220 Vienna
Welcome: Dr. Peter Krammer, Member of the Management Board of STRABAG SE
About the exhibition: Marlies Wirth, MAK curator
Peter Jellitsch (* 1982) works at the interface between technology and art. His research-based working practice unfolds in a multi-layered process in digital and analog worlds. The focus of the exhibition "Without You I'm Nothing" is his so-called data drawings. For this series of drawings, WLAN information was recorded using an iPhone app and reproduced in drawings by the artist. In his work, Peter Jellitsch combines the repetitive, physical act of drawing with the apparent immateriality of data acquisition. The artist is concerned with making invisible spatial structures visible and with the representation of data flows that are present every day but cannot be perceived by the human eye.
Duration of the exhibition: November 7th - December 5th, 2014
